Sober and College in the Same Sentence?
Fortunately, today this is a reality. Individuals seeking recovery are getting younger and younger. Just ask any old timer! Sober campuses and sober programs at respected universities are now spread across the nation. This is great news for La Hacienda’s Collegiate patients. Two of the sober programs are right here in Texas—The Center for Recovering Students at University of Texas at Austin and Texas Tech’s Collegiate Recovery Community. We know that the longer a patient is engaged in some sort of treatment they better the outcome. The sober campus programs facilitate this and prepare students for their future.
