I recently received this wonderful letter from one of our alumni.   Kristen, I got your email address off the LaHa facebook page.  I just wanted to express my gratitude to someone at LaHa.  I still keep in touch with Chris Raymer fairly frequently and consider him to be a teacher of mine, but I know he’s no longer there.  So, I figured you would be a good place to start.  Tomorrow (7/19) I’ll have been sober for 4 years, and it all started at La Ha.  Hardly a day passes that I don’t think about my experiences at La Ha, especially so around this time of year.  Saying “thank you” is the least I can do.  Please feel free to forward this message on to anyone else at La Ha.  You guys really do save lives.  I volunteer my time at a local treatment center - sponsoring and leading a big book study on Saturday mornings.  The 12 step journey for me started at La Ha, and I can claim every promise in the big book.  La Ha provided the focus and opportunity for me to learn the big book’s way of life, and to begin practicing its teachings.  Again, thanks so much for what you guys do.  If there’s ever anything I can do for you or La Ha, please do not hesitate to ask.  I’d love to find a way to give back to you guys.  Feel free to contact me anytime.  I would love to hear from more of you, kblack@lahacienda.com.
