Hey guys, Krystle here from Alumni headquarters. Hope everyone has had an amazing summer! I can’t believe that it is coming to an end already. For many years now La Hacienda has done one of the hospitality rooms for the annual Hill Country Roundup. We cook lots of chili dogs for all the hungry folks in the Fellowship, and of course, we always make sure to have plenty of the carrot cake and brownies that everyone loves. I definitely have to thank all of the Alumni volunteers; we could not have pulled it off without them! They hang out for hours cooking, cleaning, and helping any way that they can. The Big Book on pg. 20 says, “Our very lives, as ex-problem drinkers, depend upon our constant thought of others and how we may help meet their needs.” This was very evident during Roundup weekend; I had countless people offer to help us out. Plus, there were many others involved in service work to keep the conference running smoothly! Such an amazing weekend! Keep doing the deal guys! As the Book says, “It works—it really does.”
Happy, Joyous, and Free,
Krystle
